Built on the Via Francigena in the 60s to receive the tourists coming from Great St. Bernard Pass, our hotel was completely restored and expanded in 1992 by the members of the families Gerard-Margueret. The owners are continuously taking care of it and upgrading it with passion and diligence, trying to adapt it to the targets of the current market. One of their goals is to offer their guests the welcoming atmosphere usually given by family run hotels.

Our hotel is situated on the hill of Aosta, in a residential district, on the road leading to Great St. Bernard Pass. It is only 2 km far from the city centre and not far from our regional hospital. It offers a wonderful view of the highest mountains of Europe: the Grand Combin, the Grivola and the Monte Emilius and it is surrounded by the vineyards and the orchards of the Mont- Cenis. It is the “Institut Agricole” of Aosta (a high school where students learn all about agriculture and farm animals) which takes care of them. This school has an important role also because it produces excellent red and white wines.

Since our hotel is placed in the middle of the Aosta Valley, it is a perfect starting point to reach and visit our enchanting valleys and medieval castles.

From our hotel rooms it is possible to see the beautiful ski resort of Pila, one of the most important locations for alpine skiing in the Aosta Valley, whose ski runs in their totality are more than 70 km long.

Aosta is one of the few cities in the world which is directly linked to the ski runs through a cabin which leaves from the city centre and brings tourists to the ski runs in only 15 minutes. From our hotel tourists can reach the starting point of the cabin in 10 minutes by car.

From our hotel it takes only 30 minutes by car to reach Cogne, in the Valley of Gran Paradiso or to reach the Val Ferret, where tourists can see the wonderful panorama offered by Mont Blanc, interesting especially for those who love cross-country skiing.

Our hotel offers a free car park, reserved to the hotel guests to guarantee safety. Moreover, our hotel can provide some parking lots covered by a roofing, useful to shelter motorcycles from rain or snow.
